2016 ToU - Stage1
The 12th edition of the Tour of Utah Pro Cycling Race started today down south in Zion National Park. The peloton rolled out from the entrance to the park up through switchbacks threading the sandstone cliffs then headed east to Mt. Carmel Junction. From there the riders rode north, then west to Duck Creek Village high up in the mountains. After cresting the summit, the racers flew down Cedar Canyon at speeds over 60 mph arriving in Cedar City. The stage finished with 3 fast circuits around Southern Utah University Campus with a high speed bunch sprint.
